Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 October 2026
Maze Accountants ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This notice explains what personal information we collect when you use our website or services, how we use it, and the rights you have under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Information we collect
When you contact us by phone, email or the website enquiry form we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message.
When you become a client we also hold the financial and business records needed to deliver accounting, tax, payroll and advisory services.
How we use your information
We use your information to reply to enquiries, prepare quotations, deliver the services you engage us for, meet our legal and regulatory obligations (including anti-money laundering checks) and keep you informed about matters relevant to your account.
Legal basis
We process personal data to perform a contract with you, to comply with legal obligations, and for our legitimate interests in running an accountancy practice. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your data. We share it only where necessary, for example with HMRC, Companies House, our professional bodies, or trusted software providers that help us deliver our services, all under appropriate confidentiality terms.
Google website and advertising measurement
When measurement is enabled on selected website pages, Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads may receive page visits, cookie identifiers, device/browser information, advertising-click information and successful form-submission events to measure website use, advertising performance and support advertising optimisation. Google Tag Manager may manage those tags instead of a separate direct installation. We do not send enquiry names, email addresses, phone numbers or message text to Google for customer matching.
In regions requiring consent, including the UK, measurement stays blocked until you accept. Elsewhere it respects any refusal. Your choice, timestamp, notice version and region are stored in your browser; an acceptance history is retained when you withdraw. Use Cookie settings to change your choice at any time. Rejecting does not prevent you from using the form. A measured lead means the form was successfully stored, not that you became a client or an email was delivered.
How long we keep it
Client records are normally kept for at least six years after the end of the relevant tax year, as required by law. Enquiry details that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within a reasonable period.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict or object to its use, or request a copy in a portable format. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
